hate to do ：hate後跟動詞不定式，不定式後面的動作通常是一個具體或一次性和特指的動作。即討厭去做某事,還未發生的事.

hate doing ：hate後跟動名詞。這時的動作是一個表示習慣性或經常性不具體的動作。常用為討厭現在所做的事

舉個例子

I hate to do chores, I hate some chores too.

（我不喜歡做家務，我也討厭家務活。）

I hate doing the dishes. It's so boring. I hate to do chores. 

（我討厭洗餐具。太無聊了。我討厭做家務。）

I hate to do this to you, Alice, but I'm going to have to ask you to put in some more overtime.
