not……but意思是“不是……而是……”
not only……but （also）意思是“不但……而且……”
具體用法：例子：Not he but they are athletes.不是他而是他們才是運動員。
在not……but中，謂語的單複數形式取決於but後面的名詞。如這個例子，are是看they的。
例子：She is not only good at mathematics, but she is interested in English as well.
她不但擅長數學，而且對英語也感到興趣。
Not only did the dog bark at him, but (it) bit him.
這隻狗不但對他吠叫，而且咬了他。
